Dave Coulier, beloved for his role as Joey Gladstone on Full House, is facing a new chapter in life filled with both challenges and joy. The 65-year-old recently revealed on the Today show that he has been diagnosed with Stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a form of blood cancer affecting the lymphatic system. Despite the tough diagnosis, Dave remains focused on his family, especially as he anticipates becoming a grandfather in March 2025.
Dave’s cancer journey began in October 2024, when he noticed an unusual lump in his groin. After a series of tests, a biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of B-cell lymphoma. While the news was shocking, Dave is committed to staying strong for his loved ones, particularly his wife, Melissa, and his son, Luc, who is also a pilot.
Drawing inspiration from family members who have faced cancer with bravery, Dave maintains his humor and optimism. He jokes, “I’ve gone from a Virgo to a Cancer” and finds joy in hockey, even quipping, “When they said, ‘You’ve got NHL,’ I thought, ‘I finally made it to the NHL.’”
As Dave navigates treatment, he finds strength in moments with family and the excitement of teaching his grandson hockey one day, embracing life with gratitude and hope.
