Is This Why Maria Bello Left NCIS? Here’s What We Know

NCIS says goodbye to Maria Bello’s role, Special Agent Jacqueline “Jack” Sloane, after three years. The 18th season opener drew an impressive 10 million viewers, signifying another success for the long-running series. Bello’s departure joins the show’s list of dramatic exits, which includes Pauley Perrette and Lauren Holly.

Her exit wasn’t due to any scandal or controversy, but rather her contractual commitment coming to an end, according to Good Housekeeping. Bello took to Instagram on her final filming day to express gratitude for her time on the show, praising the NCIS team as a remarkably kind and generous group.

In an Instagram post, Bello thanked viewers for their support over the show’s outstanding 18-year run, expressing hope for many more years. NCIS continues to captivate audiences across the world with its unique blend of action, drama, humor, and romance.

Maria Bello is Working on Other Projects.

Maria Bello, renowned for her role in Coyote Ugly, is embarking on thrilling projects beyond the screen. She’s diving into writing and producing “The Woman King,” a riveting tale of 5,000 female warriors in Dahomey, Africa, dubbed a “female Braveheart.” Teasing a new initiative on Instagram, alongside @lolosilvera and @dominiquecrenn, Bello aims to spotlight impactful women through adventure travel and women’s history, starting with a pilot project in Haiti. As the US Global Ambassador for Women of Haiti, Haiti holds a special place in Bello’s heart, where she’s dedicated to amplifying voices and sharing their inspiring stories with the world.
