Pauley Perrette, best known for her role as Abby Sciuto on NCIS, celebrates her 57th birthday on March 27.

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Perrette became a fan favorite during her 15 seasons on NCIS from 2003 to 2018. Her portrayal of the energetic and unconventional forensic scientist made her one of the most beloved characters on television.

At the height of her career, she achieved one of the highest Q Scores among female TV actors, placing her alongside icons like Tom Hanks and Morgan Freeman in audience likability.

Interestingly, acting wasn’t her original plan. Perrette studied cr1minal science at John Jay College of Cr1minal Justice and once considered careers as a veterinarian, FBI agent, or musician before transitioning into entertainment.

Outside of acting, she has explored many creative and personal passions. She has been involved in music, including fronting a punk band and working on independent projects, and has also pursued writing, photography, and activism. She is known for her dedication to animal rescue and her advocacy for civil rights.

Perrette retired from acting in 2020 and has since focused on her personal interests and creative pursuits.
