Official announcement regarding the passing of actress Pauley Perrette

NCIS is hitting a major TV milestone—and Wilmer Valderrama has something to say about it.

Ever since the hit drama premiered back in 2003, fans have loved watching the NCIS team solve crimes on CBS. With actors like Mark HarmonMichael Weatherly, and more coming and going, it’s hard to imagine a day when NCIS wouldn’t be dropping new episodes.

Well, longtime viewers don’t need to worry about that, thanks to the surprise announcement from CBS on January 22. The franchise’s official Instagram account announced that NCIS was renewed for season 24, along with its spinoff shows NCIS: Sydney for season 4 and NCIS: Origins for season 3. But that’s not all. Wilmer (who portrays SSA Nick Torres) commented on his own Instagram about NCIS returning for another season … along with a reminder that new episodes are airing very soon.

“We’ll be back for a Season 24!!! 🎉,” he wrote alongside a clip of the cast finding out about NCIS’ future on TV. “But first… NCIS returns March 3 at 8PM ET/PT on @cbstv and streaming on @paramountplus.”

Naturally, seeing this news—and Wilmer’s reaction to it—had fols excited.

“Let’s go, Congratulations to season 24! 👏🔥❤️,” one person wrote in the comments. “YEEEAAAHHH! LOVE THIS SHOW! LOVE THIS TEAM!! ❤️❤️❤️,” another shouted. “Best news! So happy 🔥,” a different follower added.

The news comes just days after viewers learned NCIS’ season 23 midseason premiere would be pushed back a week due to the annual State of the Union address on February 24, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.

So, even though we’ll have to wait a little while longer, at least we know there’s more in store for our favorite agents!
