As filming for NCIS: Tony & Ziva begins, Michael Weatherly embraces his jet-setting lifestyle. The actor has split his time between his Connecticut home and filming places throughout Europe. On Sunday, he dressed like his on-screen counterpart, wearing a slick grey suit, striped socks, and tinted sunglasses. The 56-year-old captioned a holiday photo, “Lufthansa Flights and the #ncisverse style make for a journey, not a trip.” #makingtelevision.
Fans were quick to comment on his bold sock choice, with one quipping, “Is this Michael Weatherly, Tony DiNozzo, or James Bond Weatherly?” Another added, “Your sock game is strong!”
The spin-off’s production is headquartered in Budapest, and Michael has posted set updates. In September, he teased footage shot at what appeared to be a zoo, and previously, he uploaded a tuxedo-clad selfie at a black-tie event.
Michael is joined by co-star and friend Cote de Pablo, who keeps a low profile but has appeared with him at promotional events. The duo attended the Tony & Ziva photocall at MIPCOM in Cannes and reunited with NCIS co-stars Brian Dietzen and Wilmer Valderrama in Monte Carlo in June.
The 10-episode series, set to premiere on Paramount+ in 2025, follows Tony and Ziva as they raise their daughter, Tali, in Europe. When Tony’s security company is threatened, the pair flees, navigating danger and restoring trust in their quest for a happy ending,
