NCIS: Tony & Ziva Season 2? Cote de Pablo Breaks Silence With Hopeful Update

NCIS: Tony & Ziva has quickly become one of the standout TV events of the year, thrilling longtime fans with the long-awaited reunion of Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo. With the first season still unfolding, the biggest question now is simple: Will there be a Season 2?

While no renewal has been announced, Cote de Pablo just offered a promising update that has fans buzzing. Speaking with TV Insider, she shared:

“We’re just grateful that we got a chance to do it. If we got a chance to do it again, we’d be thrilled…”

Cote de Pablo Opens Up About the Magic of Season 1

For de Pablo, returning to Ziva David felt nothing short of surreal. She admitted that stepping back into the iconic role-and reuniting with Weatherly-was “like a dream.”

“We’d be lucky to play these characters for… look, I’ll say this: Season 1 was like a dream. It was so much fun to go back and revisit these characters.”

She credited both the fans and showrunner John McNamara, noting that the show’s lush European backdrop became a character of its own, giving Tony and Ziva’s story a romantic, cinematic flair.

“Michael and I felt we owed it to the fans. We manifested it. It came together beautifully.”

Her gratitude was unmistakable. De Pablo even admitted she still “pinches herself” at the chance to return-and hopes their story continues beyond this season.

Why Fans Believe Season 2 Is Likely

Historically, NCIS spinoffs rarely begin and end in a single season, and Tony & Ziva seems poised to follow that pattern. With the first season still releasing weekly on Paramount+, the excitement surrounding the show only continues to grow.

Because the finale won’t air until late October, fans may not hear about a renewal until afterward-but de Pablo’s comments already signal an open door for more.

Add to that Michael Weatherly’s obvious enthusiasm, strong fan demand, and the show’s endless story possibilities-with Europe as the setting and plenty of opportunities for NCIS crossovers-and the odds of a second season look brighter than ever.

For now, fans can keep enjoying Season 1… and keep hoping this is only the beginning of Tony and Ziva’s next great adventure.
