Tony & Ziva’s Reveals NCIS’ Long-Awaited Reunion: The Planned Event That Never Happened

In one of its most emotional moments, NCIS: Tony & Ziva episode 8 unveils a surprising twist – the couple’s scrapped wedding that could have brought together some of NCIS’s most beloved characters. As the streaming spinoff nears its conclusion, Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva (Cote de Pablo) are close to clearing their names in Europe after a misunderstanding that spiraled into a life-threatening crisis for their daughter, Tali.

The series’ non-linear storytelling deepens their relationship arc, revealing through flashbacks that Tony and Ziva once planned to marry before parting ways. In the episode “Fire Sale,” a flashback shows Tony drafting their wedding guest list – essentially a full NCIS reunion.

Tony’s Wedding Guest List Included:
Anthony DiNozzo Sr., Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Timothy McGee, Delilah, Johnny, Morgan McGee, Abby Sciuto, Jimmy Palmer, Leon Vance, Tobias Fornell, Ellie Bishop, and Nick Torres.

Set in 2020, before Bishop’s departure and Gibbs’ retirement, the moment would have been an ideal reunion for NCIS fans – though notably, Ducky wasn’t included.

While the wedding never happened, Tony & Ziva’s storyline hints that their reconciliation may still be coming. If the couple revisits their wedding plans, it could finally bring together the NCIS family for real – perhaps during the flagship show’s upcoming 500th episode. With NCIS currently at 487 episodes, CBS has the perfect opportunity to deliver a nostalgic and long-awaited reunion.
