Everything You Need to Know About CBS’ Historic NCIS Night

NCIS fans have a big reason to celebrate this fall – for the first time ever, CBS is dedicating an entire night to the hit franchise. Starting October 14, viewers can tune in from 8 to 11 p.m. for an all-NCIS lineupNCIS Season 23, NCIS: Origins Season 2, and NCIS: Sydney Season 3, airing back-to-back.

“Tuesday nights introduce the first-ever all-NCIS night featuring the #1 global franchise,” Paramount announced in a press release.

For the flagship series, showrunner Steven D. Binder says Season 23 will focus heavily on the people fans have come to love. “I watch the show for the characters – that was always our thing – and I really want to make this a character-forward show in a way we haven’t seen before,” he told TV Line. “If you’re invested in these people, this is going to be the season for you.”

NCIS: Origins will pick up after last season’s cliffhanger. Creators Gina Lucita Monreal and David J. North promise to honor the original series while carving out space for new stories. “We’re strict about sticking to canon,” Monreal explained to Us Weekly. “We want to pay respect to the mothership, but we also love branching out into our new characters and digging into their emotional lives.”

As for NCIS: Sydney, showrunner Morgan O’Neill revealed that Season 3 will bring in a couple of new faces. These additions will stir up the past for the team, sending them “down the rabbit hole” and raising the question: will everyone make it back?

With fresh drama, new twists, and fan-favorite characters, NCIS Night promises to make Tuesdays a weekly TV event.
