NCIS Finally Explains How Gibbs Got His Boat Out of His Basement!

Fans of NCIS have been wondering about a mystery for years, and it has finally been solved. We now understand how Gibbs pulls his boats out of the basement. The following is what NCIS revealed about Gibbs’ boats and how they were removed from the basement.

Gibbs Leaves ‘NCIS’

Fans expected this day to come, but few expected Gibbs to quit NCIS so soon into the season. Leroy Jethro Gibbs had worked for the company for 25 years when he decided it was time to retire.

Gibbs paused because his job was his life. After his wife and daughter d1ed, he clung to NCIS and adopted the team as his second family.

During NCIS Season 19 Episode 2 (titled “Nearly Departed”), Tobias Fornell (Joe Spano) questions Gibbs about his continued employment. He’s baffled as to why he won’t let NCIS go.

“You always seem to find a way to justify staying in the chase,” Fornell observes. “What in the world are you doing out here following evil guys?” Gibbs claims it’s his job.

Gibbs, on the other hand, later decides it’s time to move on. During NCIS Season 19 Episode 4 (named “Great Wide Open”), he chooses not to return to his job (or his house).

After saying his final goodbyes to his team members, he enters the next chapter of his life in Alaska, the location of his final case.

Gibbs’ Method For Getting His Boats Out Of The Basement

Gibbs, how do you get your boats out of the basement? It was discovered that Gibbs gets his boats out by breaking through the wall.

He takes off bricks and creates a large hole in the wall. When looking for Gibbs, FBI Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole) makes this finding.

When Ducky (David McCallum) pays a visit to Gibbs, the enormous hole in his basement wall resurfaces. Ducky happens to see the wall while looking for him.

He makes a joke about it with Gibbs, stating, “I admire what you’ve done with the property, especially the basement.” It’s really light.”

Torres Discusses With Gibbs How He Takes His Boat Out Of The Basement.

“Just for the record, I always knew you were going to get that boat out of the basement,” Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) says as he drives Gibbs to the airport.

Gibbs appears surprised because he had no idea this was a matter of interest. Torres describes it as a “burning” question that many people have been asking for years.

He claims he was aware of Gibbs and his yacht before transferring to the NCIS D.C. office.

“How else was I meant to get that monster out?” Gibbs wonders. Torres claims to have had the same thought.

He told Gibbs about all the bizarre tales he’d heard about how he removed the boat from other individuals.

“The theories I heard were insane,” Torres recalls. “I’m referring to movable walls and pulley systems.” He joked that turning the boat on its side and pushing it down the coal tunnel beneath Gibbs’ house was another option.

So, we now know how Gibbs gets the boat out of his house. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to see the NCIS boss build any more boats.
