Ncis: Tony & Ziva Star Reveals Unique Merch In Latest Filming Update

NCIS: Tony & Ziva star Michael Weatherly has revealed unique merchandise in celebration of the upcoming spinoff, in the latest filming update for the show. The upcoming NCIS: Tony & Ziva series follows Tonny DiNozzo (Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) after their departure from the original series. The show sees them on the run with their daughter, Tali (Isla Gie), after Tony’s security company in Paris gets targeted by new enemies. In mid-2024, the series started filming in Budapest, and is anticipated to be released on Paramount+ at a later date.

Now, Weatherly has made an Instagram post showing off NCIS: Tony & Ziva shoes, a unique set of merchandise celebrating the upcoming spinoff. The actor thanked Superstar Budapest and FinestArtShoes for their contributions in making the “special pair of kicks” possible. The design appears to be dark blue, with lettering on the back of the shoes reading “NCIS” on one side, and “Tony & Ziva” on the other.

What Tony & Ziva’s New Shoes Say About The NCIS Spinoff

Plenty Of Hype Is Surrounding The Pair’s Return

The 10-episode series is expected to focus on a single case with the titular couple at the center, a stark difference from the typical cases tackled in the original series. It’s also the second spinoff focusing on established characters from the original show, with the cast of NCIS: Origins portraying younger versions of some familiar agents, like Gibbs (Austin Stowell) in the starring role and Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid) leading the team. While it’s unclear if Tony & Ziva will include some surprise cameos helping out the couple, it does establish a new trend for spinoffs within the procedural’s universe.

The shoes Weatherly shows off also build anticipation for the show, while confirming Budapest will be a core location for the spinoff throughout. Although this doesn’t reveal anything concrete about the series, it does emphasize the excitement for it by the cast and crew, elevated by the unique merchandise produced for it. This also shows off the general strength of the franchise, not just because of NCIS season 22 currently airing, but also the many different stories the franchise can tell in various ways.
