Michael Weatherly’s cryptic post hints at major reunion in NCIS: Tony & Ziva

Michael Weatherly Sparks NCIS Rumors: Could a Gibbs Reunion Be in the Works?

Michael Weatherly loves to keep fans guessing. Earlier this year, he teased NCIS fans with throwback posts and surprised everyone with his appearance in David McCallum’s tribute episode. More recently, he teamed up with Cote de Pablo for their highly anticipated spin-off, Tony & Ziva. Now, Weatherly’s latest posts on X have fans speculating about another major reunion—this time with Mark Harmon.

In a two-part tease, Weatherly shared a photo of a car with the license plate “Spy,” captioned “European intrigue,” followed by a GIF of Tony DiNozzo and Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Fans immediately jumped to conclusions. “Is this a hint that Gibbs might make a cameo in Tony & Ziva?” one user asked. Another speculated about ties to Gibbs’ undercover missions in Paris.

Currently filming in Budapest, Tony & Ziva is set to premiere on Paramount+ in 2025 with 10 episodes. The series will follow Tony and Ziva raising their daughter Tali while going on the run across Europe after an attack on Tony’s private security firm. Mark Harmon isn’t listed in the cast, but fans are holding out hope for a surprise cameo.

The show also stars Julian Ovenden (Downton Abbey), James D’Arcy (Oppenheimer), Amita Suman (Shadow and Bone), and Lara Rossi (The Watch), bringing fresh faces to the NCIS universe.

Stay tuned as fans eagerly await clues—and more surprises—from Weatherly.
