Less than one year since shock divorce, Sofia Vergara ‘thinking marriage’ with new man, claims insider

When Sofia Vergara tattooed Joe Manganiello’s initial on her wrist, she likely thought their marriage – like the ink – would last forever.

But since their relationship dissolved last year, the stunning Colombian is branded with a “J” and fortunately, the tattoo is being repurposed as a dedication to her new man, Justin Saliman.

Now, sources say the 51-year-old star, who didn’t think she’d “meet someone so perfect for her,” is “talking marriage” and hoping to find that forever with Saliman.

In July 2023, fans were shocked when Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello announced they were ending their seven-year marriage.

“As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives,” the pair wrote in a joint statement.

Manganiello moves on

Only two months after revealing his shocking separation from the Modern Family alum, the 47-year-old Magic Mikestar was linked with HBO’s Winning Time actor, Caitlin O’Connor.

An insider tells People that Manganiello and the 34-year-old O’Connor met at a party for the HBO show.

“The first time they met in the hot tub and they were talking the whole time!” The source also shares that in September 2023, the two were “casually seeing each other.”

According to US Weekly, their relationship is no longer casual.

“They’re going to get engaged soon [and then] start trying for kids,” a source told the publication in March 2024. “Marriage is definitely in their future.”

‘Didn’t want to be an old mom’

Meanwhile Vergara, who shares 32-year-old Manolo Gonzalez Vergara with her ex-husband Joe Gonzalez, revealed that her refusal to have another child at her age is why her second marriage ended.

“My marriage broke up because my husband was younger,” said Vergara, who turns 52 in July. “He wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom. I feel it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore.”
In October 2023, Vergara – a judge on America’s Got Talent – started dating renowned orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman.

Saliman was previously married to actor Bree Turner, who’s best known for her role in the fantasy police drama, Grimm.

‘Talking marriage’

Promoting her Netflix show Griselda, Vergara spoke with the Daily Mail in February 2024 and expressed her interest in finding a life ”partner.”

“Now I need a husband,” she says before correcting herself: “No, I don’t need a husband; I want one. It doesn’t even have to be a husband. A partner.”

Now, sources claim the actor is “talking marriage” with 49-year-old Saliman.

The anonymous source says, “Sofia didn’t think she’d meet someone so perfect for her, Justin checks off all the things she wants in a partner.”

The insider adds, “He’s handsome, independent, smart, makes Sofia feel safe, and he’s not an actor…It’s no wonder why she wants to marry him!”

The source failed to mention that Saliman’s first name also matches the tattoo she has on her wrist.

Speaking on The Talk (through Glamour) Vergara said of her ink, “This was Joe Manganiello’s initial…But now he’s gone…How lucky can I be that the guy I’m going out [with] has the same initial.” The award-winning actor then reminded the audience to “recycle.”

If Vergara marries Justin Saliman, he will be her third “J.”

NCIS could be welcoming back its biggest star. Insiders say Mark Harmon is seriously considering a return to the long-running series after ratings slipped to No. 10, a sharp drop for a show that once reigned as the most-watched drama on television. “People are nervous, and it feels like a bad omen,” a source reveals. “Now there’s talk of Mark coming back on at least a recurring basis – maybe even full-time – to turn things around.” Harmon, 73, played Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs for 18 seasons before leaving early in season 19. While he’s stayed on as executive producer, he has largely kept a low profile. Recently, though, he’s reemerged as executive producer and narrator of NCIS: Origins, which follows a younger Gibbs, played by Austin Stowell. His behind-the-scenes involvement has fueled speculation that a bigger on-screen comeback is next. Not everyone, however, is thrilled. Some insiders complain Harmon has already been “throwing his weight around” as an executive producer and fear he’ll interfere with their work. But the actor isn’t letting that stop him. “Mark doesn’t care who he ruffles,” says a source. “If ratings are sinking, he feels he has every right to come back, steady the ship, and help NCIS reign again. Otherwise, the show could go down the drain.” Fans may recall Harmon’s brief cameo connection through Origins, which teased the possibility of more appearances. Now, with NCIS itself in crisis mode, Harmon appears ready to step out of semi-retirement and make his presence felt once again. “If anyone can save this show,” the source adds, “it’s Mark.”
