For around 30 years, Sean Murray has been playing the role of Senior Field Agent Timothy McGee on “NCIS.” However, the actor had an even bigger connection to the Navy because his father, Craig Murray, was a naval officer for 30 years.
Speaking to People magazine in 2017, Sean revealed that he’d grown up as a Navy child and moved around army bases. The star said his father wasn’t around much because he spent much time away.

The Maryland-born star recalled how he and his mother would joke about the homes. They would wonder if the new home would have a lighter shade of military green or a darker one, while strict rules prevented them from personalizing their temporary homes.
However, as a child, Sean was allowed to decorate his bedroom walls. The actor’s first encounter with interior designing was when he got to decorate his bedroom wall with a 3D velvet Guns N’ Roses poster, with him
“It was the cover of ‘Appetite for Destruction,’ and it came like half an inch off of the wall.”
Sean revealed that, at the time, the poster was his favorite thing. Later in life, the star had his family unit with children, and he had the pleasure of designing the home’s interior and exterior.
Sean’s Wife and Their Family Life

In the post’s caption, Sean’s wife revealed that they were of their marriage that year. She said the weather was windy, and it was a Saturday afternoon when they tied the knot at the Lakeside Golf Club, :

In June 2022, on Father’s Day, Carried shared a beautiful image of her husband and their children posing together. She wished Sean a happy day and
how they made a “great team” before praising him, stating:”Our kids are fortunate to have you as their dad, and I’m fortunate to have to (sic) you by my side during this wild ride. We love you.”
The House Sean Built for His Family
In 2015, Sean revealed to People that his Southern California family home was newly renovated. While giving the publication a tour of his estate, the actor explained that he was happy to stay put in one place, unlike when he was a child, :
“There is definitely something about putting roots down, because I didn’t have that as a kid, in a lot of ways. We moved every two, three years.”
A part of Sean told him that he finally had his place, space, and family home, so he had to make it his own. The couple bought the house after discovering they were expecting their second child.
The actor how the house was unrecognizable from how it originally looked because it initially had an “early-’90s” feel. The one-story home had a glass-block entry wall which the star changed to a wooden panel partition, one of his favorite parts of the space.

The 4,200-square-foot 6-bedroom property got renovated in small steps. Sean said it began with a drainage issue, then other design problems came up, and before they knew what was happening, the house’s landscape was being changed!
The star and his wife built a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi! Since it took a while for the design work to be done, Sean , “it was like we were living in a tent for a year.”

The estate in Encino also had a bathroom makeover, covering the walls in art pieces. He, Carrie, and their children would hang out in the family or living room.
That year, he [Sean Murray] and his wife [Carrie James] were using the spare bathroom as they remodeled the one they usually used.

It boasted a comfortable-looking couch and a dark-colored wall covered in family photos. Sean mixed in artworks by some of his favorite artists in between the family portraits.
Sean also shared that a three-part image of his son was one of his favorite pictures. The actor also loved the display shelves that held all sorts of knick-knacks like an old telephone, some books, and more.

At the center of the shelves was a fireplace. The open space design of the home allowed the “Hocus Pocus” star to take a few steps and enter the dining room with a large table with chairs.

Even though Sean didn’t drink, he had a bar built into one of the dining room’s walls. The kitchen looked high-tech, with the latest appliances on display and chairs around an island that complemented the space well.

Within walking distance was the actor’s office/music studio. A second living room with a television set also boasted soft-looking couches, but the space was much smaller and cozier than the first.
Despite it taking ten years for to renovate his home, the star, a design lover, noted how . That year, he and his wife used the spare bathroom as they remodeled the one they usually used.
