A Marine has been apprehended following the fatal shooting of a civilian at Camp Lejeune. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is currently leading the investigation into the incident, which occurred on the morning of Saturday, January 27. The Marine is in custody, and authorities have recovered a weapon. According to LtCol Cassandra Stanton, Communication Strategy & Operations Director with II MEF, the incident is considered isolated, with no perceived threat to other Marines or the public.
