In exciting news, the cast and crew of\u00a0NCIS<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0are hard at work on season 23; in worrisome news,\u00a0two actors are suspiciously missing from a behind-the-scenes video.<\/strong>\u00a0The CBS military\u00a0police procedural TV series\u00a0has featured many cast changes over the years. Perhaps\u00a0NCIS<\/em> is in store for another shakeup in season 23.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0NCIS<\/em>\u00a0universe\u2019s Instagram\u00a0page posted a video from the cast\u2019s first day on the set of season 23 on July 17, 2025. Katrina Law, Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Rocky Carroll, and Gary Cole were all in attendance to announce the monumental event. However,\u00a0NCIS<\/em>\u00a0has seven cast members, not five. That begs the question \u2014\u00a0where are Brian Dietzen and Diona Reasonover?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CBS Hasn\u2019t Announced Their Exits<\/h3>\n

The above video confirms that\u00a0Katrina Law as Jessica Knight, Sean Murray as Timothy McGee, Wilmer Valderrama as Nick Torres, Rocky Carroll as Leon Vance, and Gary Cole as Alden Parker are all back for\u00a0NCIS<\/em>\u00a0season 23. Since Brian Dietzen and Diona Reasonover are missing, though,\u00a0some are worried that Dr. Jimmy Palmer and Kasie Hines are leaving the CBS series.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Amid a stagnant personal arc, NCIS season 22 just paved the way for Timothy McGee\u2019s MCRT exit with the re-introduction of its most amusing villain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Despite their absence in the Instagram video, Dietzen and Reasonover will likely reprise their roles as Jimmy and Kasie in\u00a0the main cast of\u00a0NCIS<\/em>\u00a0season 23. Neither the network nor anyone who works on the show has indicated that Dietzen and Reasonover are departing. So, fans should still anticipate Jimmy and Kasie\u2019s return in season 23.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a result, Dietzen and Reasonover weren\u2019t around to join their costars in announcing the start of production.<\/p>\n
