The season 22 finale left fans with two major questions: who k1lled Alden Parker\u2019s (Gary Cole) father, Roman (Francis X. McCarthy)? And which team members will return to help solve the case?<\/p>\n

Sean Murray<\/strong>
\nMurray returns as Timothy McGee for his 23rd season. He confirmed the news in July by sharing a photo of McGee\u2019s computer screen reading, \u201cNCIS SEASON 23 10\/14,\u201d revealing the October premiere date.<\/p>\n

Wilmer Valderrama<\/strong>
\nValderrama, who plays Nick Torres, confirmed his return in May, promising an intense season. \u201cYou\u2019re going to see a team that\u2019s willing to go rogue,\u201d he said, adding that Torres is \u201ca little more unhinged than most.\u201d<\/p>\n

Katrina Law<\/strong>
\nLaw, who plays Jessica Knight, will also return. She teased that season 23 will show \u201chow far we\u2019re willing to go for one of our own.\u201d In July, she shared a group selfie from set with the caption, \u201cNCIS SEASON 23!!!!! Let\u2019s goooooo!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Gary Cole<\/strong>
\nCole\u2019s Alden Parker will take center stage as he deals with his father\u2019s death. Cole said Parker will be consumed by \u201crage and vengefulness and guilt.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brian Dietzen<\/strong>
\nDietzen, who has played Chief Medical Examiner Jimmy Palmer since season 1, confirmed his return with a July Instagram post showing Palmer\u2019s signature glasses and the caption, \u201cWe are so back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Diona Reasonover<\/strong>
\nReasonover is expected to reprise her role as forensic scientist Kasie Hines, continuing her vital work in the lab.<\/p>\n

Rocky Carroll<\/strong>
\nCarroll will return as Director Leon Vance, overseeing the team once again. He confirmed his participation in a July promotional video.<\/p>\n

Mark Harmon<\/strong>
\nWhile Harmon\u2019s Leroy Jethro Gibbs hasn\u2019t been seen since season 19, CBS has not confirmed any appearance this year \u2013 though fans continue to hope.<\/p>\n

Nancy Travis<\/strong>
\nNew to the cast, Travis joins as Parker\u2019s sister, Navy Vice Admiral Harriet Parker. Showrunner Steven D.
