This prequel explores Gibbs\u2019 early years with the Naval Investigative Service (NIS) in the early 90s. While up-and-comer Austin Stowell will take on the iconic role, Harmon will make a special appearance to pass the torch, alongside narrating the series.<\/p>\n<p>This is Harmon\u2019s first appearance as Gibbs since his departure from\u00a0<em>NCIS<\/em> in 2021\u2019s \u201cGreat Wide Open.\u201d According to co-showrunner David J.
