Fans of NCIS have been wondering about a mystery for years, and it has finally been solved. We now understand how Gibbs pulls his boats out of the basement. The following is what NCIS revealed about Gibbs\u2019 boats and how they were removed from the basement.<\/p>\n

Gibbs Leaves \u2018NCIS\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fans expected this day to come, but few expected Gibbs to quit NCIS so soon into the season. Leroy Jethro Gibbs had worked for the company for 25 years when he decided it was time to retire.<\/p>\n

Gibbs paused because his job was his life. After his wife and daughter d1ed, he clung to NCIS and adopted the team as his second family.<\/p>\n

During NCIS Season 19 Episode 2 (titled \u201cNearly Departed\u201d), Tobias Fornell (Joe Spano) questions Gibbs about his continued employment. He\u2019s baffled as to why he won\u2019t let NCIS go.<\/p>\n

After saying his final goodbyes to his team members, he enters the next chapter of his life in Alaska, the location of his final case.<\/p>\n
