Among the higher profile exits was Pauley Perrette, who departed the hit CBS show in a heartbreaking way back in 2018. There\u2019s no question her character,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/top5news.us\/could-abby-sciuto-return-to\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abby Sciuto<\/a>, was well liked by many of the fans, but after 15 seasons, the goth forensics specialist decided to start a new chapter of her life and resigned from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.<\/p>\n<p>Within the show\u2019s canon, Abby reached this decision in the episode \u201cTwo Steps Back\u201d following the death of her colleague\/friend Clayton Reeves, played by Duane Henry, as she wanted to honor his memory, and his mother\u2019s, by starting a charity to help the homeless. Considering Perrette played Abby for a over decade and a half, which also counts the character\u2019s introduction in the JAG two-parter \u201cIce Queen\u201d and \u201cMeltdown,\u201d it\u2019s not like she hadn\u2019t spent plenty of time in those platform boots and drinking all that Caf Pow.
