Filming for the first international series of NCIS, titled NCIS: Sydney, has begun in North Bondi. The show is set to launch in 2023 and will feature local stories with Australian actors and producers. NCIS: Sydney is a collaboration between Paramount Plus Australia and Network Ten. Meanwhile, the original CBS show, NCIS, has been renewed for its 19th season with Mark Harmon returning as Leroy Jethro Gibbs. The show has spawned several spin-offs, including NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, and NCIS: Hawaii.
