CBS Pulls ‘Loteria Loca’ Shockingly! ‘NCIS’ Repeats Take Over – Huge Expansion Ahead of ‘NCIS: Sydney’ Premiere!

CBS has decided to pull its game show “Loteria Loca” from its Monday night lineup after five episodes with low ratings in the 9 p.m. time slot. Originally slated to move to 8 p.m. on November 13, the network has instead opted for wall-to-wall NCIS reruns on both November 6 and 13 in preparation for the debut of “NCIS: Sydney” on November 14.

The decision to shelve “Loteria Loca” was not unexpected, as the show struggled against competition like Monday Night Football. The game show, hosted by Jaime Camil with Sheila E. as co-host and bandleader, failed to gain traction and stands as CBS’ lowest-rated and least-watched series this fall. While its holiday edition is still scheduled to air in December, the fate of the remaining produced episodes remains uncertain.

The promotional efforts for “NCIS: Sydney” have been substantial, and CBS intends to use two weeks of wall-to-wall NCIS reruns to build anticipation for the Australian spinoff. Originally set for the Monday 10 p.m. slot, “NCIS: Sydney” was moved to Tuesday at 8 p.m. to avoid competition from ABC’s Monday Night Football simulcast.

As for the CBS Sunday lineup in November, it includes a Let’s Make a Deal Primetime special and the perennial holiday favorite “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” Additionally, a fresh run of episodes of “Let’s Make a Deal” is scheduled for Fridays in November. The fate of the last episode of “The Price Is Right at Night” from the current batch, originally slated for November 6, remains unclear.
